Service to God

Act 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Act 17:25 Neither is worshippedG2323 (waited on) with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

G2323 θεραπευìω therapeuō ther-ap-yoo'-o From the same as G2324; to wait upon menially, that is, (figuratively) to adore (God), or (specifically) to relieve (of disease): - cure, heal, worship.

But, there is something that God wants, and only we can give it to him.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Falling down to worship is the service that we give directly to Yehovah. Giving a cup of water in the name of Yehoshua is not service to God, but a fulfilling his commandment to love. Understanding what it means to worship will enable us to actually serve God in the way that he has in mind.

Now is the time to go to the study, “Worship”.
