The Ten Commandments

The Bible says in three places that there are TEN commandments(Ex 34:28, Deut 4:13, Deut 10:4), although it appears that there may be eleven; the eleventh being: An alter of earth shalt thou make unto me.

The first commandments are given, then an intermission while the people ask for Moses to speak to Yahovah for them, then the alter of earth commandment, then the Judgments in chapter 21.

If that is a good observation, then the Commandments are:

I No other gods, or bowing down to their graven image,

II No take Yahovah Elohim’s name in vain,

III Keep the Sabbath Day holy,

IV Honor Father and Mother,

V No dash to pieces,

VI No Adultery,

VII No Steal,

VIII No bear false Witness,

IX No Covet,

X Make an Alter of Earth or Stone.

As always, I am open to correction that is thoughtful and based on the Word of God. I want to know how I’m going wrong.
